Its a New Year and a new you, what are you going to change? Statistics show that 50% of people will set a goal and only go through with it for two weeks. I call this the breaking point. If you find this to be your problem set your goals low with a mission to the big picture.
Some tips and tricks to staying on target with your goals: 1. PLAN, If your goal is to dress more trendy then make an effort to set your style out the night before. It doesn't come easy to all and sometimes it takes trying things on together. A lot of us don't have time to do this in the morning rush so we through on the basic in order to time crunch. By taking time to do this the night before there is no need to shy away from the style you are wanting to achieve. 2. START SMALL, If your goal is to eat healthy don't go cold turkey. Most of the time when people go cold turkey they end up bingeing after a week and all their hard work was for nothing. Work on taking little by little away until you get to the end goal. This will be healthier for you and make you happier in the long run. 3. TELL SOMEONE, Studies show that if you have a support system people are more likely to stick to their goals. If your goal is not to snack tell your friends and the people that surround you. This will keep you motivated and when you choose to slip up others can catch you. 4.DONT GET DISCOURAGED, Everyone messes up and no one is perfect, If you have a cheat day don't let it mess you up. keep motivated and stick with it. not everyday will be perfect but the closer you stick to your rotten the closer you can get to your goal! 5. CELEBRATE, When you reach your small goals or stepping stones don't let it go un noticed. If you set a goal to watch your money and you reach your goal don't be scared to treat yourself. you don't have to spend money in order to do this but celebration is key in the happiness of your goals!
I could not have asked to wrap up the year any differently. Spending time with my family these past few weeks has been the glittery bow on top of the biggest present! We maintained family traditions - the tree went up the day after Thanksgiving and the festivities began. The Christina Aguilera Christmas playlist came out, the house (along with my belly) was filled with chex-mix, and the family got to gather in chaos. However, my favorite family tradition of all would be the Christmas Eve service at church. My family and I attend Church of the Highlands every year and I have to say this year's message was exactly what I needed to hear as I enter the new year! |
wake up feeling great about yourself. A healthy lifestyle if the best one to have. I know how it is, there is school, then work, and by that time there is none left. The best way the fight this problem is preparation and planning. Start your day out right with the right amount of meals and excise. Planning helps all these things to be posable. The way I find it possible to make my 8AM and have enough time to cram in breakfast is all starts with planning. few tips: STEP 1:Go to bed early! I know its hard to resist those late night crams of social media and Netflix but at the end of the day its the worst thing for you to do. STEP 2: make a list! I find this a great way to know what you need to get done for the day that way you can plan when it comes to tie management STEP 3: Plan the meal prep... I know I know I know its a lot of work on the front end but in the end you will be satisfied when it comes to those moments where your stomach is speaking louder then your thoughts STEP 4: Excise is excise no matter what you are doing your doing it. don't quite it all works the same way! | |

I am a creator; nothing compares to the beautiful conversation of the mind. I enjoy collecting memories of my moments and paying attention to everything life brings my way. And through it all, I am a reflection of my life's journey, inspirations along the way, inspired creations, rambling thoughts - past, present, and future. Whatever comes to mind, I want to express the depths of my thoughts through design.
